Ways To Support CKUA

We deeply appreciate and rely on your financial support. Whether gifts are made as a lump sum, or through monthly payments, they keep the music playing! When you are considering how much to contribute to CKUA, think about what you are able to contribute and what the value of CKUA is to you, and donate appropriately using the options below as a guide. We can accommodate your preference for giving and we want you to contribute in a way that is best for you.

For more information, please email donors@ckua.com.

CKUA Endowment

Endowment gifts help stabilize funding for CKUA because they are invested, not spent. A percentage of the investment income may be used annually to fund current and new initiatives. The balance of the investment income is re-invested to protect the fund against inflation. This is the real 'gift' of endowment: with this balanced approach, over a single lifetime, an investment of $50,000 today could result in future annual support for CKUA of over $900,000. And, your gift keeps on giving, and growing - forever.

Campaign Gift

We hope you will give regularly, once per campaign or once per year. Listener contributions account for two thirds of CKUA's annual operating budget; it is therefore essential to the station that this funding source be reliable. CKUA needs predictability of revenues in order to plan, budget, achieve stability and grow. However you choose to support CKUA, be a loyal and lasting part of the station's wonderful and diverse family. Let us know we can count on your ongoing support.

Your campaign gift is gratefully accepted by cash, cheque, money order or credit card. Donate online now or call 1-800-494-2582.

Program Donation

A unique way to offer financial support to CKUA is with the donation of one or more hours of programming. Donated hours make terrific birthday, Christmas, anniversary or 'surprise' gifts! Sometimes it's just nice to treat yourself!

The Ongoing Monthly Subscription

By making your pledge an Ongoing Subscription in the form of a regular monthly deduction from your bank account or credit card, we are better able to predict and plan our budget. For you, donating monthly is easier to budget and much easier on the pocketbook. With this method, you provide us with a credit card number or a voided cheque for electronic funds transfer (EFT). The monthly pledge amount is chosen by you! Our accounting department then processes your pledge on a monthly basis. It's our ultimate goal to have as many ongoing subscribers as possible to sustain not only the main operation of CKUA, but assist with upgrades and repairs, and new programming, to name just a few. Employer Matching Gift Programs

Many employers will match your contribution to CKUA. In all cases, you, the donor, should inquire with your Human Resources Department to determine whether they offer the benefit of a matching gift or payroll deduction program.

Bequests, Wills and Estates

Many people generously support charities throughout their lifetime. Some choose to make a legacy gift through their estate to ensure that support continues. A gift made through an estate is relatively easy, enables donors to retain full use of their assets during their lifetime and frequently offers estate tax advantages that benefit their heirs.
