Tibet's ancient culture is threatened today as never before.
One Alberta woman is helping to preserve the traditional music
of that country. Banff's Karen McDiarmid's volunteer work
with Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, India led to her creation
of the Tara Café Project, recording 3 albums of traditional
Tibetan music. The Banff Centre, as well, has played a role
in facilitating the project.
We heard her story and music from the Tara Café on the March
30th edition of World Spinning.
