CKUA News

News and current affairs have been an important part of CKUA's programming from its very beginning.

Over the years, some of the many "firsts" by CKUA News have included the first live budget broadcasts in Canada, as well as the first live broadcast of daily Question Period. CKUA has maintained its bureau at the Alberta Legislature since the 1940s.

Today, CKUA News continues its proud traditions, striving to provide Albertans with accurate and unbiased news and information from around the province, the nation and the world.

CKUA gathers its national and international news through its arrangements with the CBC and the BBC. Alberta coverage is provided through CKUA's reporters and editors.
