From Bop to Rock

With the launch of FROM BOP TO ROCK in November, 1997, CKUA Radio proudly continues our series of programs which take a panoramic view of 20th Century popular music, first established with the well-received series RAGTIME TO ROLLING STONES. The producers of RAGTIME, David Gregory and Brian Dunsmore, have done it again with this exciting series.

FROM BOP TO ROCK is a companion series to THE LONG WEEKEND, picking up where THE LONG WEEKEND leaves off by covering the period from World War Two until 1960. The third series in this ambitious project, ROCKY ROAD: FROM PRESLEY TO PUNK, carries the baton from the 1960's through the '80s.
