The Bitter End
To Change Your Heart
Stronger

Well Carlene Carter has certainly had her ups and downs. Like several others in her ultra-famous family she has dealt with serious drug problems, and it often hasn't been good news that has caused the spotlight to shine on her over the years.

She is now clean and sober, and Stronger is her first album in a decade. It was written after her mom, step-father, long time companion and producer (Howie Epstein) and sister Rosey passed away. Obviously huge emotional issues needed to be dealt with.

As the title would imply, Carlene has come out the other end stronger. Her voice is a tad deeper but it suites her. She sounds great and the songs have amazing impact. Reviews are calling this her comeback album. I'm just glad she is back.

The album was produced by John McFee (Doobie Brothers), who also plays most of the instruments. All the songs were written by Carlene and she has re-done "I'm So Cool" from Musical Shapes, and "It Takes One To Know Me" - which was originally recorded by Johnny and June 25 years ago.

Carlene is back and she's "Stronger" - both personally and professionally. She is healthy, happily married and making great music once again.
