Rod attended SAIT and received a diploma in Broadcast Engineering Technology in 1975. He started working at CKUA in 1978, and was one of the people who built the original network. He left in 1983 to pursue other interests, including running his own business in industrial electronic installation and maintenance for nine years. Rod returned to CKUA in 1997 and has been here ever since. Rod's interests include camping, hiking and home renovations. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Linda his granddaughter, Kiana and his dog, Bailey.
