of Reference Special Events and Benefits Committee
A Special Events/Benefits Committee has been formed to determine what benefits and special events CKUA will sanction. A Special Event is defined as an event to raise awareness
about CKUA which may or may not generate monies. A Benefit is defined as an event that raises money for CKUA. The Committee is comprised of the General Manager, Controller, and the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Functional Activities:
- To support, assess, approve and monitor benefits and activities conducted by the Chapters on behalf of CKUA.
- To determine what benefits/events CKUA will support based on the information received on the Special Event Registration Form.
- To determine what Chapter benefits/events CKUA will support based on the information received on the Special Events Registration Form and CKUA resources.
- The General Manager/his or her designate, and the Volunteer Co-ordinator have final approval of all events and special events. Therefore no Chapter should organize an
event or a benefit without the CKUA Special Events Committee's approval.
- The role of the Volunteer Co-ordinator is to bring forward the Event Proposal Form submitted by the Chapter and to act as their representative and their liaison.
- Volunteer Co-ordinator works cooperatively with the Program Director to ensure that approved Chapter benefits and events receive the support required by the station. For
example - live reads, announcer attendance, cut ins, etc.
Meetings:
Meetings of this Committee will be held on an adhoc basis and may be called by any of the CKUA committee members.
