CKUA Merchandise PROCESS For Chapters
REQUESTING MERCHANDISE FROM CKUA
- Chapter representative contacts Receptionist by telephone, fax, or e-mail requesting merchandise for an event.
- Volunteer Coordinator arranges with the Receptionist to prepare a bin
- Receptionist sends merchandise bin to the designated Chapter volunteer
- Merchandise will be sent to the designated Chapter volunteer 7days prior to the event.
- Merchandise for events occurring in Edmonton may be picked up or delivered to the designated Chapter volunteer.
Dispersal of Merchandise
- Designated Chapter volunteer may pick up merchandise during office hours
- Merchandise may be put on a bus to be picked up by a designated Chapter volunteer
Forms of Payment
Customers may use cash,
credit card, or personal check when purchasing CKUA merchandise.
Payment Methods
Cash: Fill out receipt
book
Receipt should list each
item sold, including size and color
Staple cash to yellow copy
of receipt and put in cash box
For coins put in envelope,
seal, and staple envelope to receipt
Credit Card Payment
Swipe card with numbers
face up
Make sure the Expiry Date
is on slip and get phone number and area code
Put appropriate slip Visa
or MasterCard over the credit card
Cheque:
Ask for one piece of identification
(drivers license number, or credit card) record number on the back of the cheque
Issue receipt
Staple yellow receipt to
cheque
Please get the customers
phone number
Identification Badge
CKUA Merchandise volunteers
will be required to wear a name badge.
Dress: Casual
Dress for the weather (sunglasses,
sunscreen, insect repellent).
Ethics:
- CKUA Merchandise Volunteers
act as ambassadors for CKUA
- At no time should a
volunteer speak to policies, or operational and management issues related
to CKUA.
- Conduct yourself in
a business like manner
- No alcohol is allowed
during your shift while on CKUA business
- WCB and CKUAs
insurance policy cover volunteers while they are on CKUA business.
- CKUA volunteers are
not responsible for lost or stolen merchandise while they are volunteering
with CKUA.
- If merchandise is lost
or stolen report it at once to CKUA.
