Festival Job Description
General Description:
Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of CKUA volunteers at festival
events. This person will identify potential events within the local FM broadcast
area and make arrangements so that CKUA has a presence at the festival. This
person will liaison with the station with respect to merchandise. This person
will also be responsible for writing a report after each festival.
Skill:
- Experienced at planning and organizing events.
- Knowledgeable about merchandising and sales.
- Knowledgeable about CKUA.
- Able to schedule and recruit volunteers.
- Basic knowledge of report writing.
- Good communication skills.
Tasks:
- Identify potential events.
- Contact venues and confirm CKUA attendance.
- Update CKUA website with info about chapter being at event.
- Send info about event and chapter attendance to station for on-air read.
- Check how much space is available and when set-up can occur.
- Confirm activities at event; i.e. sell merchandise, info table, etc.
- Arrange for free passes for CKUA volunteers.
- Schedule time slots for volunteers.
- Communicate all info about event to volunteers.
- Arrange for merchandise from station.
- Reconcile merchandise and sales.
- Arrange for merchandise return to station.
- Send follow-up report to Maureen.

- Regular dialogue with CKUA volunteer coordinator.
