Barber, Del
A stolen quote, from the Globe and Mail, which just 'discovered' Winnipeg's
Del Barber: "Nine songs of melody, everyday desperation and occasional arrivals of harmony..."
What they are describing is Del Barber's new Six Shooter Records release
Headwaters - his third full-length recording. The first (2009) got him a Western Canadian Music Award nomination. The second (2011) resulted in 2 more WCMA nominations that turned into wins as both Roots Solo Recording and Independent Album of the Year. Plus a JUNO Nomination. It has indeed been a pleasure to watch folks 'discover' Del Barber.
Del Barber dropped into the
How I Hear It studio with his guitar, June 1, 2012.
